The UK Government is seeking practical evidence on data access, UK GDPR, automated decisions, agentic AI and cross-organisation governance before the consultation closes.
What you need to know
- Responses close at 11:59pm on 9 September 2026
- Businesses, developers, researchers, public bodies and individuals can respond
- Short case studies and practical evidence are explicitly useful
Who should pay attention
The call is relevant to organisations working with personal data, automated decisions, agentic systems, data-sharing relationships or unclear controller and processor responsibilities. Respondents do not need to answer every consultation question.
What a useful response contains
Describe one real workflow, the data involved, the legal or governance uncertainty, safeguards already attempted and the measurable effect on delivery. Evidence about projects delayed, redesigned or abandoned is more useful than a broad opinion about AI regulation.
What this process is not
This is a policy consultation. It is not a funding competition, certification route or regulatory approval. Companies remain responsible for their existing obligations while the Government considers the evidence.
HUBAI VIEWThe most useful submissions will document a real operational problem, the safeguards already tried and the regulatory uncertainty that remains.
